The MSc is designed for holders of psychology, medicine, social work degrees, and professionals in the addiction field who are interested in the conceptualization, treatment, and prevention of addiction. The aim of the program is to provide applied clinical knowledge in the fields of substance use, abuse, and dependence on psychoactive substances and behavioral addictions. The program has a Memorandum of Understanding with OKANA (Greece’s largest Addiction Services Provider), and students’ supervised practicum and internship experiences are completed at the organizations’ facilities. The MSc provides a widely recognized qualification with an integrated multidisciplinary teaching and learning approach to conceptualizing the challenges of psychoactive drug abuse, addiction, and behavioral addictions and conducting relevant research. It is the first of its kind in Greece and does not require tuition. The maximum number of students admitted to the Program is set at twelve (12).
